Kayla Janssen is originally from Belgium and had a dynamic start to her life; moving from Tokyo to Hong Kong and London all before University. The influences and styles from around the world have made her choreography just as diverse. As a choreographer, Kayla is dedicated to making music visually exciting while getting inspired by dynamic movement and the human experience. As an educator, she is dedicated to creating a student-centric space that nurtures the learning process. With over 20 years of experience educating dance and choreographing, Kayla is excited to continue sharing her love for dance around the world. Her recent choreography credits include Dua Lipa, Rita Ora, G-Eazy and The Disney Channel. She also teaches weekly at the world famous Millennium Dance Complex in Los Angeles.

Her professional career started in London, UK where she had the opportunity to dance in multiple flash-mobs and teach regular classes at the world famous Pineapple Dance Studios. With her desire to keep training with the best, Kayla moved to New York City to attend the Professional Semester at Broadway Dance Center. This experience opened her eyes to the fabulous world of Broadway and Commercial Work. Training under Jermaine Brown and Joanna Numata, the semester solidified Kayla's identity as a dancer.

In 2012, Kayla won the global Adidas competition: Dancers Wanted Challenge. Out of over 500 global dance video submissions, P!nk and Katy Perry choreographers Nick Florez and RJ Durrell (The Golden Boyz) hand-picked Kayla as the winner to fly to LA to dance. This unique experience was the catalyst to encourage Kayla to move to Los Angeles and continue dancing.

And we keep dancing!
